Pharmaceutical Take-Back Box

The Center for Health Education and Wellness and The Student Health Center Pharmacy are excited to announce the installation of a pharmaceutical take-back box in partnership with Count It! Lock It! Drop It! ®

Old prescriptions left unsecured in the home can often be an easy source for someone thinking about misusing prescription medications and can pose danger to those who may accidentally ingest them. Throwing old pills in the trash is often not the safest way to dispose of old medication and flushing may contaminate the water supply.

What can be dropped at the take-back box

  • Non-narcotics
  • Narcotics
  • Over-the-counter medicines
  • Vitamins
  • Veterinary medications

Needles, biohazardous materials, or illegal drugs should not be dropped. Removing all personal information on the label of pill bottles or medicine packaging is recommended but not required.

Hours:
Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Wed: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
