Alcohol Education Program

The Alcohol Education Program (AEP) is a 2-hour online module for students to learn how to make more informed decisions about drinking. The goal is to consider what potential risks are for current behavior and how to modify behavior to reduce risk of negative consequences.

Topics covered in this course include:

  • Alcohol expectancy theory
  • Assessment of use
  • Alcohol and the body
  • Blood alcohol concentration
  • Biphasic effects of alcohol
  • Polysubstance use
  • Rrisk reduction strategies

Students are typically sanctioned to complete these sessions as a part of an alcohol violation. However, any student may request to complete this course voluntarily or meet with the Wellness Coordinator due to concerns or questions regarding their personal use of alcohol.
