The Center for Health Education and Wellness empowers all Volunteers to thrive by cultivating personal and community well-being. We are dedicated to a community model that is embodied in the “Vols help Vols” commitment.

Required Courses

The AlcoholEdu and Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates courses will be assigned on June 2. All undergraduate first-year and transfer students are required by the University of Tennessee, Knoxville to complete both courses by August 8.

Upcoming Events


CHEW acknowledges that health and wellness are multifaceted and aims to promote well-being across eight dimensions of wellness. We prioritize risk reduction and develop programming based on national research and data collected from our Volunteer community that addresses interpersonal wellness, alcohol and substance use, and general health and wellness.
