A Step Ahead Foundation of East Tennessee

Blount Memorial Behavioral Health
Provides adults with treatment and counseling needed to meet individuals’ specific behavioral health needs. Voluntary inpatient and outpatient treatment is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week at the Blount Memorial Emotional Health and Recovery Center located on the hospital’s main campus in Maryville, Tennessee. Day and evening outpatient counseling appointments are available at the Blount Memorial Counseling locations in Maryville and Vonore.

Cornerstone of Recovery
Provides treatment to individuals and their families to address chemical abuse and addiction. Cornerstone provides residential, inpatient, and outpatient treatment for adults.

Helen Ross McNabb
Provides crisis services and adult mental health services in the greater Knoxville area. Services include, but are not limited to, mobile crisis, sexual assault center, adult integrated services, and crisis stabilization.





Metro Drug Coalition (MDC)
Metro Drug Coalition (MDC) is a nonprofit organization striving to create a healthy and safe community, free of substance misuse. We have served the Knoxville community for over 35 years. Our goal is to increase access to evidence-based prevention education, harm reduction programs and recovery support services for anyone desiring to maintain or seek a life free from substance misuse. Through community collaborative efforts, we can all strengthen families and prevent future generations from the devastating consequences of addiction.



Mobile Crisis
Serves the community by providing immediate emergency mental health evaluations and referrals.



Peninsula
A division of Parkwest Medical Center provides both inpatient and outpatient services for mental health and chemical dependency.



Tennova Behavioral Health Services
Provides inpatient and outpatient programs for adults with mental health, alcohol, or drug dependencies.



Community Action Committee (CAC)
A public agency serving the citizens of Knoxville and Knox County, specifically senior citizens; low- to moderate-income families; the unemployed and underemployed; persons with disabilities; and other individuals with special need of services.

Tennessee 2-1-1
Serves as a  state-wide community services referal line. 2-1-1 has a database of more than 10,000 cross-referenced health and human services and is staffed by trained specialists who can help callers find the closest place to get help. All calls are free and confidential.

Knoxville Family Justice Center (KFJC)
Serves domestic violence and sexual assault victims. This comprehensive support center provides co-located services for victims and their children including prosecutors, detectives, and social service victim advocates.

Works to encourage, promote, and assure the development of an active, healthy community through innovative public health practices.

rovides comprehensive police services to the Knoxville community, including emergency response, proactive policing, and crime prevention.

Sexual Assault Center of East Tennessee

Provides excellent and compassionate services for victims and survivors of sexual violence in their healing journey, and works to eliminate sexual violence in our communities through education and social change.



Hope Resource Center

Provides free well woman exams (breast exams and cervical cancer screenings), STI testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, ultrasound imaging, parenting classes for first-time moms, and dad classes.  All services are free and confidential. Within walking distance to most of campus (2700 Painter Avenue Knox, TN 37919). Hope Resource Center is open from 9 to 5 Monday through Thursday, and 9-1 on Fridays.



The University of Tennessee Medical Center
Provides patient care, health education, and clinical research.
