Environmental Wellness

Environmental wellness refers to being able to be safe and feel safe through creating and occupying environments that support well-being.

Engage in sustainable habits such as the recycle bins located throughout campus and encourage others to properly dispose of their items. Spend time outside in nature.

Environmental Wellness In and Out of the Classroom

  • Weather permitting have class/study groups outside
  • Only print documents when necessary
  • Normalize self-care in the classroom – allow students to step out of class without asking (restroom breaks, water refill, content is triggering or upsetting) – this normalizes leaving and does not stigmatize a student
  • Regular Wellness Walks

The 8 Dimensions of Wellness is a framework used to describe the multifaceted nature of well-being. Each dimension represents an important aspect of a person’s health and contributes to overall life satisfaction and balance.
